Writing Task 2 Question

People in all modern societies use drugs, but today’s youth are experimenting with both legal and illegal drugs and at an increasingly early age. Some sociologists claim that parents and other members of society often set a bad example. Discuss the causes and some effects of widespread drug use by young people in modern-day society.

Make any recommendations you feel are necessary to help fight youth drug abuse Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Nowadays, many kinds of legitimate drugs are available in the market, which is generally used for treatment. The present youth are taking advantage of these antidotes, and they are misusing them during the initial stage of life. A few anthropologists believe that the community around us are setting a lousy exemplification. This essay will describe the causes and side effects of drugs on modern society.

To begin with, the adoption of drugs in the present generation is just because of society, family members, and the friend circle. For instance, any family member might consume drugs to relieve stress in their job and pain in their life; hence, following them, their children will start doing the same thing. This is one of the possible ways where a teenager may get habituated to the antidotes at a very initial age.

On the other hand, Bodybuilding centres and related advertisements are also harming society. For example, many bodybuilding ads are surfacing on the media in which the actors consume drugs to show their bodies and promote that particular brand. When a youngster sees them and gets attracted to that promotion, they will start following the same by choosing them as an inspiration. Now, a teenager buying the same product and using them without a proper physician will cause significant damage to his body.

To conclude, the only possible way to stop the usage of drugs is that the government should take necessary actions on these types of advertisements and illegal drugs, so that it will set fear in the society and from next time, one will fear by hearing the words ‘consuming drugs.’
